Clever Girls are back!

After a bit of a break from updating Clever Girls, I am back! I have just been a bit too busy to squeeze it all in, but it is starting to settle down again, and I have just been amazed as to how many Clever Girls are around.

There are Clever Girls doing beautiful jewellery (Georgie Cunningham www.seaglass.com.au), yummy spices (Pam Stirling - www.redhillspicegirls.com.au), and gorgeous bags (Judy - www.naughtyagapanthus.etsy.com). If you want to see Clever Girl, Karen Erasmus' art work, go to www.karenerasmus.wordpress.com. And don't forget Lee Bond's sun protective swimwear from www.shrimpsaustralia.com.au.

There are also Clever Girls, such as Sam Natoli and Kerri Duffey with great handmade cards Ambyance Design, and Tracey Wollen with Moosie Moo, art for children. Let me know if you want any of these girls' contact details.

And these are just the girls who are working for themselves while holding down a family and household. There are many other girls out there who work for organisations in both a paid and voluntary capacity who also should be applauded.

If you know a Clever Girl whose accomplishments should be celebrated, let me know.

Clever Girl Lee Bond - Shrimps Australia

Lee Bond is a clever mum of 3 who lives on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Lee juggles children and home (Playgroup Committee, Kinder Committee etc) with her business, Shrimps Australia.

Shrimps Australia kids swimwear includes a unique range of UV protective sunsuits featuring long sleeved tops with a high neck and an extra long back for maximum skin coverage. For the younger children the matching pants are ¾ length to provide plenty of coverage without inhibiting their play time activity.

Shrimps Australia also has ladies rash vests and matching boy-leg shorts that are designed for relaxation and comfort while providing UPF50+ protection. The ladies rash vest is great - it has a zip up the front and can be purchased separately from the shorts.

Check out the range online at http://www.shrimpsaustralia.com.au/.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my first entry on the Clever Girls blog. What is the Clever Girls blog? Well, this is to celebrate (and promote) all the clever girls out there that are doing wonderful, creative and clever things.

These may be women who work for themselves, or who are doing clever things for someone else. They may be working Mum's or single gals. We want to know their story. What they do, where we can get it, what motivates them, and any tips for the rest of us.

If you know a Clever Girl in the Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula area (Australia), let me know, and we can promote their work and tell their story. But of course, get their permission first!

I am looking forward to hearing about all the Clever Girls out there.
